Better Outcomes
Measurable, Life-Changing Outcomes
Research from the Manhattan Institute has shown that training programs, designed to quickly and effectively connect former inmates to meaningful employment upon release from prison, reduce the likelihood they’ll return.
The Manhattan Institute’s research also estimated:
“[an] average savings of about $231,000 for each nonviolent ex-offender who received extra help, based on the lower crime record posted by the group as a whole, following training.”
Research like this is a big part of why we believe so passionately in our comprehensive program that encompasses virtue-based education, relational mentorship, financial support, as well as meaningful connections to TRP’s Employment Partners and Support Partners.
Quantifying Our Success
Sometimes beliefs, such as ours, have a way of staying lofty, well-intended goals that are difficult to see or measure. We don’t want our beliefs to stay just beliefs. We want them to become realities for those that we serve. From the very beginning of The Redemption Project we have been, and will continue to be, committed to quantifying the successes of our work through these, easy to understand, metrics:
The number of inmates who successfully complete our program.
The number of people who participate as Life Mentors.
The number of other non-profits who participate as Support Partners.
The number of employers who participate as Employment Partners.
The number of TRP Fellows who have employment after release.
The 5 year recidivism rate of successful TRP Fellows.
